Catherine Paglia is a multi-media artist and creative arts therapist. Her work explores body politics, human rights and the ambiguous bridges to and from the subconscious that shape human perception. In her art practice the human body becomes the vessel to explore the sensual, mystical and metaphysical.

She loves forming enriching connections across the globe. She immerses herself in local cultures where she stumbles upon fascinating people whose stories she is inspired to capture and document.

Catherine is also passionate about social justice, enterprise and documentary. She has worked with individuals and NGO’s located in Nepal and India.

Catherine is a graduate from The Queensland College of the Arts (2017) and the Victorian College of the Arts (2014) and was awarded three academic scholarships in 2016 and 2017. Catherine has exhibited nationally and internationally in Kathmandu, Nepal (Non-Fiction Nepal street exhibition 2016) and the Brisbane Powerhouse in (Traverse 2016).

Since 2019 Catherine has been living and working in Peru. Exploring indigenous plant spirit shamanism, herbalism, alchemy and psychedelic assisted therapy. Her work uses art therapy tools to support psychedelic integration.
